Our Commitment

ICPF Canada wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA and to follow platform accessibility guidance for keyboards, screen readers, and reduced-motion settings.

What This Site Does

• The whole site is keyboard operable: navigation menus open and move through with the arrow keys, Escape closes a menu and returns focus to its trigger, and a skip link jumps past the navigation to the page content
• Interactive elements show a visible focus indicator when reached by keyboard
• The mobile menu holds keyboard focus inside it and locks page scroll while it is open
• Animations honor your system's reduced-motion setting: scroll-reveal effects, the auto-scrolling image strips, and page-transition animations are disabled when reduced motion is requested
• Auto-scrolling image strips pause while you hover them with a mouse, and a visible pause control beside them stops and restarts the motion for keyboard and touch users
• Pages use semantic landmarks, headings, and lists; decorative visuals are hidden from assistive technology
• Meaningful images carry text alternatives
• Forms use real labels, announce inline error messages to screen readers, and move focus to the first error so it can be fixed right away
• Colours target WCAG AA contrast in both the dark and light appearance modes, and primary controls meet a 44×44 px minimum touch-target size

How We Assess Accessibility

We self-assess this site. In September 2026 every page was audited across seven viewports (two desktop, three tablet, and two mobile resolutions), covering keyboard navigation, form validation, menu behaviour, colour contrast, and touch-target sizes. Issues found in that audit were fixed and re-verified with automated probes and screenshot evidence.

Known Limitations

We want to be straightforward about the gaps we know about:

• The auto-scrolling image strips on the home page pause automatically while you hover over them with a mouse and can be paused or resumed at any time with the visible pause control beside their heading. The animation is disabled entirely when your system requests reduced motion
